• 1 Can( 398ml) Black beans, undrained
• ¼ cup diced onion
• 1 glove garlic, finely minced
• ⅛ tsp cumin
• 2 pinches of salt
• ¼ cup veg oil or lard
Add oil or lard to fry pan and saute onions and garlic until the onion is clear but not browned, add the beans, cumin, and salt. Simmer on med/low for 10 minutes.
Then mash the beans with a bean masher or pour everything in a food processor and blend.
The beans are now ready to enjoy as a side with your favourite dish or used within a recipe.
